The governor has now lifted the mandate, which means that many businesses that were affected can once again extend their opening hours. This was in response to the spread of the second wave of COVID-19.

The casino has been operating at limited hours due to the mandate by Massachusetts governor Charlie Barker forcing a lot of businesses to close at 9.30 pm. Officials from the Encore Boston Harbor casino have announced that the venue will be returning to around the clock operation for most of the week.
